Wexford Enterprise Centre

Wexford Enterprise Centre is the largest project of the Wexford County Development Association and regarded as one of the most successful centres of its kind in the entire country in relation to its job-creating activities.
Wexford Enterprise Centre Currently housing about 25 companies in over 30,000 sq feet of low cost accommodation, the Centre is directly and indirectly responsible for the creation of over 100 jobs.

The Wexford Enterprise Centre is also manages the Schools Enterprise Awards Scheme and Recycling 2000. The Schools Enterprise Awards Scheme has grown steadily, and is now one of the foremost competitions at 2nd Level Schools in Co Wexford. Recycling 2000 is a leading Environmental, Job-Creation Project, which has grown substantially since its inception in 1992.

Wexford Community Development Association (WCDA) is the parent of Wexford Enterprise Centre. It is a voluntary association, formed in 1986, with the express purpose of creating "sustainable employment through the encouragement and stimulation of private and co-operative enterprise in County Wexford". It aims to achieve this through various community based job creation projects, including Wexford Enterprise Centre, Recycling2000 and Schools Award Scheme.

The majority of the companies housed by the WEC are small, owner-managed businesses, which rely on the low-cost incubator space, hands on advice and support offered by the management of the Centre.

The McConnell Business Hall is the Enterprise Centre's most recent development and at providing incubation space for technology-based businesses within the region.

The McConnell Business Hall, consists of 12 highly-wired, modern offices - ranging from 200 sq feet to 1000 sq feet. Each office will be serviced with category-5 cabling, directly linked to the main Comms room. Telecommunication and primary lines will connect each office to the central communications system within the Comms area. These systems will ensure total flexibility of both accommodation and technology.
